Order Entry
Currently in WIN, orders consist of two parts, a header, and detail lines. The header(see below) contains the information such as the order number, the outgoing or incoming customer/vendor, and the assigned warehouse, and the carrier. The order header also, upon shipping, will contain shipping information such as a ship date and status information. Also controlled through the header is a total count of pallets for this order, and the last modified date and user for control and order process tracking information.
Order detail lines are setup after an order header is entered. The line data contains the items that are expected to be received in or shipped out for the the order. These are assigned to the order and assigned a unique line number. From here an LP number for the line can be forced. The detail lines also contain back order information.
